About this event
LSC will start offering club hikes every weekend, and we hope you'll join us. The first hike will be this weekend: Saturday, March 15 at 10:AM at Cherokee Park. Leah Bruin and Donna Brothers will lead the hike. It will be 3 miles with a 4 mile option.
Donna will lead the faster hikers, and Leah will set a more moderate pace for the explorers. We’ll meet at the Scenic Loop where Cochran Hill Road t-bones into the Scenic Loop, then hike the trails (not the paved loop). Check the weather forecast because if it’s raining, we will reschedule to Sunday at 10:AM. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes (that you don’t mind getting dirty) and bring water if you think you’ll need it.
This will be the first LSC Hike, but it won’t be the last! Going forward, we’ll see if Saturday or Sunday works best, 10:AM or 8:AM… we’ll go to different locations (Jefferson Memorial, Bernheim, etc.), and we’re looking for people who wish to lead a hike. Fresh air and fun with friends. What could be better?!
