We're heading to Crested Butte, CO
March 23-28, 2026
Crested Butte Trip Overview:
We’re heading back to one of Colorado’s most charming mountain towns. It’s been a few years since the club last went to Crested Butte, so we’re excited to finally return! (our last trip was in 2018)
Crested Butte is known for its laid-back atmosphere, stunning mountain views, and some truly fun and varied skiing—plus great restaurants, cool little shops, and a fun bar scene.
The Mountain:
Crested Butte Mountain Resort has something for everyone: plenty of blue and green runs and legendary expert terrain for the more advanced skiers. The mountain normally gets a good amount of snow, and it’s never too crowded, which makes for some fantastic skiing.
Where We’re Staying:
We’ll be staying five nights at the Elevation Hotel, which is located right at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, offering true ski-in/ski-out access. It’s the only full-service slope-side hotel in town, which is super convenient for our group. The rooms are spacious and include kitchenettes and private balconies—great for winding down after a full day on the mountain. When you’re not skiing, you can relax at the spa, soak in one of the hot tubs, grab a bite at José (the on-site Mexican restaurant) or even hang out by the fireplace and have a drink in the cozy lounge.
Hotel Highlights:
• Ski-in/ski-out access—no shuttles needed
• Spacious rooms with kitchenettes and balconies
• Indoor pool + three hot tubs (perfect for fatigued legs)
• On-site restaurant José (Mexican-inspired dishes and an extensive tequila selection.)
• Lobby bar for convenient après-ski
• Ski/bike rentals, arcade room, and full spa
The Town:
Crested Butte is small but colorful town and packed with plenty of character. The historic downtown is about 10 minutes from the mountain, and it’s full of quirky shops, art galleries, cozy cafes, and some really great restaurants.
Shuttle Service:
Crested Butte has a free and easy-to-use shuttle system called the Mountain Express, which runs between the mountain base area and the town of Crested Butte. It operates daily from around 7:10 AM until midnight, with buses running every 15 minutes during peak hours.
